Weekend Preview and Schedule (+ Midweek Mini-Recap) Sept 25th

Couldn't watch a number of the midweek games which weren't televised, and I was a bit preoccupied (minor car accident) to give the televised ones a full watch so I'll give a mini recap based on what I did see and what was reported around.

Yun Suk Young -- There's not been an update on his return so still a bit away I think.

Son Heung Min -- He played 30 minutes or so as Tottenham lost the North London Derby and are eliminated from the league cup.  The form of his two prior matches was apparently not to be found here.  He'll be looking for more of his better form this weekend as he should start the match.

Hong Jeong Ho -- He wasn't particularly at fault for any of the goals but he probably could have played more aggressively to help stop the bleeding.  Augsburg had a terrible first half giving up four goals but fought back to at least not give up any more.  He should start again.

Ji Dong Won --  Not as good as prior showings, he had some rough touches as perhaps fatigue started to set in.  He did earn a penalty when he was elbowed in the face.  He should start depending on the health of Werner where if the latter is healthy, Ji might be dropped to bench.

Koo Ja Cheol -- Koo was the one of the best Augsburg players, setting up a number of good chances and winning a number of 50/50s and reportedly drew a penalty (reports were confused between both Koreans as it happened after I stopped watching... I'll clear this up later when I get a chance to watch last 30).  He should start this weekend.

Ryu Seung Woo --  Not in squad.

Kim Jin Su --  Was an unused sub as I suspected.  Given Hoffenheim got a point vs Dortmund, perhaps Gisdol stays with what worked so its uncertain if he will start or be on the bench.

Ki Sung Yueng --  Played 90 but Swansea were knocked out of the cup.  He reportedly played well but Swansea were punished for missing their chances.  He may get a return to the starting lineup this weekend as I think Monk will be looking to shake things up a bit.

Lee Chung Yong --  Played 90 and had an assist as Crystal Palace ran over their South London rivals 4-1.  Unfortunately they drew Man City next.  I don't expect him to have changed his role with his performance even if pretty good, so I think he'll be on the bench.

Suk Hyun Jun --  He should start.

Park Joo Ho --  He was left out of the squad so not sure if selection or fitness.  We'll find out later this week so he could start for rotational sake (least likely), bench (more likely), or left off (if injury is more serious (possible) / fallen out of favor (which seems unlikely)).
