Weekend Recap Jan 30th

Had to turn this around a lot faster than I wanted because of midweek action so apologies for any issues.  Good thing this blog is free.

Suk Hyun Jun -- Came on as a late sub when match was already well in Porto's favor.  The adjustment may take some time.

Son Heung Min -- Came on with 20 or so minutes left in the match.  His dribbling was pretty good but he really was very heavy with his touches, wasting opportunities for fast breaks.  Fortunately, the match was fairly comfortable at that point so not much damage from his errors.

Hong Jeong Ho -- Another good performance, if not great and certainly not as dominating as last week.  There were a few gaps in the back four but another clean sheet for Augsburg is another good result.  Had a good / fortunate clearance off the line

Ji Dong Won -- Started and played 90 but really marked by lack of glaring errors more than positive impact.  Really struggled out wide in this match even more so than Augsburg's struggles in midfield.

Koo Ja Cheol -- Was a bit of  surprise bench appearance and came on pretty brightly.  Augsburg has missed their sparkplug in the middle of the pitch, and he'll need to stay heathy and get back to pre-winter form in order for Augsburg to turn weak draws like these into wins and three points.

Park Joo Ho -- An unused sub and a worrisome one with Durm returning to take the backup LB spot.  We will see what this does for PJH's minutes going forward but it's not ideal.

Lee Chung Yong -- Wasn't televised but Chungy was reportedly great in the match, starting and creating plenty of danger.  Good to hear that and we will see if this impact's Pardew's plan at all.  He had said prior to the match that Crystal Palace were missing creativity in attack, and certainly that would be one aspect in which LCY could help out, even if he's not the scoring type.

Kim Jin Su -- Started and played 90.  I didn't get to watch because I went camping instead (84F!) so I'll try to update this if I watch tonight or tomorrow.

Yun Suk Young -- No move for him so we'll see if there's a loan window move or what.

Ki Sung Yueng -- Weekend off.  We'll see how he gets on with Leroy Fer.
