Weekend Schedule and Preview Sept 10th

Ick that was a horrendous international break.  Really depressing from Stielike but also disappointing from players who didn't elevate to the challenge.  Fortunately, we have club football to wash away the memories of this. Now if only more of our guys playing.

Lee Chung Yong -- With Remy now on board and Flamini joining, I'd expect Pardew to try 4-4-2 again and bench spots to be tougher to come by. That said window shuffled some wide players out so LCY should be on the bench as backup winger for now and a switch back to 4-2-3-1 at times would also include him as both winger and CAM.

Son Heung Min -- Stielike let Son return to London early which he probably regrets as Korea struggled to score vs Syria. Now will that payoff for more minutes for Son?  I suspect a bench spot for weekend but with a better chance to play now that there's no risk of injury damaging transfer plans. With Monaco in CL coming up next week, Son may have a good chance then to start and prove himself in the pitch.

Park Joo Ho -- Left off CL squad and yet didn't move clubs. I thought he'd be happy being paid at big club level so he'll have to be content with training and occasional bench roles. But nothing this weekend I expect.

Ji Dong Won -- With lots of minutes over international break, I expect him to be on bench this weekend. I'm unclear where Schuster sees Ji's best position for Augsburg but his utility and lack of alternatives on bench should mean chances for Ji.

Koo Ja Cheol -- Biggest risk for Koo starting this weekend was his high effort in international travel and jet lag. I don't think that Koo will turn down the chance to start so we will see if Schuster agrees and how sharp he will be.

Ki Sung Yueng -- I think Ki will be on bench after captaining KNT and the fact that he's battling for starting spot but not yet won that role. Sigurdsson also had international duties as well but has Guidolin's preference on his side and in deeper roles would have fresher options.

Kim Jin Su -- He started a friendly over international break but it still seems remote for KJS to have even a bench role in the league.
