Midweek Preview Sep 25 and Weekend Recap Sep 22

Every time a guy scores, they get hurt. And a lot of not playing or poor performances on this list and tiers below. And of course a nearly full midweek slate which sucks.

Ji Dong Won-- Out injured with no word in return yet.

Koo Ja Cheol-- Koo showed his great touch and instincts in the box, trapping a chest perfectly and unleashing a perfect shot to help Augsburg tie up the match. He had been doing well during the match before the goal, starting deeper and then when Augsburg fell behind, moving up to second striker position. Sadly he missed an open shot that would have given Augsburg the lead, then went out with a mild knee injury and finally Augsburg lost the match. Fortunately, Koo’s injury seems minor and he’s possible to return this weekend but he’s out midweek vs Bayern. Which may be another reason to play it safe.

Suk Hyun Jun-- Continues to play final stretch but always off the bench and no goals for him or Reims. With short week, perhaps he gets a start vs PSG to use his work rate in a tough job.

Son Heung Min-- Started but on a very wet pitch, looked again a bit off the pace, though less of a disaster than before. My guess is that Son will start the cup to try to get him going and also reflective of likelihood to start PL this weekend but then again fixture congestion makes predictions tricky.

Ki Sung Yueng-- He made it back to the squad but he was disappointingly not used.
