Midweek Preview Dec 18 and Weekend Recap Dec 15

UPDATE - Kwon Chang Hoon is back! He's in the squad. I'm guessing its just a limited role if any to get him ready for second half of season. Also in more mundane news, Augsburg is on FS2.

Disappointing to see all three younger guys (Paik Seung Ho w/Girona, Lee Kang In w/Valencia, Jeong Woo Yeong w/Bayern) called up to first team but none play. I won't chase down their status until I have some more certainty on their play but if you're super eager to see their debuts, keep your eye out until winter break.

Ji Dong Won-- The offense is still very inefficient even if they had a lot more chances this past weekend. Ji didn't come on so maybe Baum also thought Ji looked slow because the options he did use were not very good at all. Hopefully Ji gets a chance again, but likely from the bench.

Koo Ja Cheol-- Koo got a start, again in the deeper role and he was scrappy and even had a half-decent chance to score. That said, Koo didn't really have a controlling presence and he looked really invisible when he moved to attack later in the match. I think the team worked better with him so I'd expect him to start but again, Baum needs to fix results with Augsburg so close to relegation zone so not certain if Koo will.

Son Heung Min-- Came on as a sub and immediately gave the ball up cheaply two times in a row. It was cold and scrappy of a match and fortunately, Eriksen stepped up in the final minutes to earn three points because Son didn't get to do too much. I expect him to get a start now in the cup.

Ki Sung Yueng-- Ki started again. Newcastle really couldn't keep possession and it wasn't really Ki's fault but his influence was not as strong as it has been. He did have a great moment receiving a short free kick and launching a perfect pass into the box which was almost scored. He was subbed off for fresh legs in the final twenty minutes. A good enough showing in a big win.

Suk Hyun Jun-- Played almost the whole match again so I assume that he's working hard and contributing even if he's not scoring. Reims won as well so that can't be hurting Suk's cause for continuing starts.
