Weekend Preview Jan 26 and Midweek "Recap" Jan 22

Wow. Korea is out of the Asian Cup. Can't say I'm too sad about exiting a fairly meaningless tournament (given timing just a few months after WC and in the middle of European tournament) but to go out to Qatar of all countries is a shock. But the silver lining is that the European guys can go back to their far more pressing club situations who are all losing stability at the worst time.

Recap in quotes as I couldn't watch midweek.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Left out of squad midweek. I assume to give him a breather ahead of more important league play this weekend where he should start.

Suk Hyun Jun-- Still out injured I think. UPDATE: Makes the travelling squad! There's 19 so we'll see if he has a role and if he does, I have to imagine from the bench.

Lee Kang In-- Played 90 as Valencia falls behind in the first leg. Hopefully he can build on his showing last weekend though I expect still from the bench.

Paik Seung Ho-- Surprisingly came on as a sub with 30 minutes to go despite a close scoreline. Touch video showed some good to great moments of technical skill and bravery even if he did look at bit inexperienced for this level of play. With the scoreline getting a bit ugly at the end, hopefully he gets another go next week.
