Midweek Preview Oct 1 and Weekend Recap Sep 28

I'm in Canada so my watching is limited midweek, and was limited on the weekend too so apologies, though there wasn't much worth watching anyway. Don't forget Hwang Hee Chan with Salzburg in EL Thursday.

Tuesday

Son Heung Min-- Tottenham vs Bayern Munich - 3 PM TNT - A good win overcoming a red card, and Son did well to work hard, and having a hand in both goals, directly assisting Ndombele and combining with Eriksen who setup Kane for the second. A good showing and he was subbed off to rest, presumably to start midweek.

Wednesday

Lee Kang In-- Valencia vs Ajax - 3PM B/R Live - Was an unused sub, hopefully to give him rest for CL start.

Recap

Hwang Ui Jo-- Played 90 in a loss, so I assume he was working hard. Didn't get to watch.

Suk Hyun Jun-- I read somewhere that he was ruled out of the squad at last second with a knock so maybe his absence is health related.

Jeong Woo Yeong-- Left out of squad. Their continuing good form means some pain still to come and his trip to Korea is looking quite expensive indeed.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Like JWY but less bad as he was an unused sub on the bench.

Ki Sung Yueng-- What a disaster, between bad luck on GK error, horrible tactics letting Leicester have all the ball, punting it up the pitch when they did get the ball, and so on. Ki looked like he was trying when he came on at end of 1st half when Hayden got a red card. But with nobody to pass back to him, he struggled to control the match and he's not the greatest defender to offset the lack of cohesion with teammates. He'll be forced into a bigger role while Hayden serves suspension and Shelvey out so hopefully Bruce gets the other pieces in line.

Ji Dong Won-- Out injured.
