Midweek Preview Jan 28 and Weekend Recap Jan 25

Was pretty limited watching as I mentioned last I posted.

Tuesday

Yun Il Lok-- Montepellier @ Belfort (Cup) - 12:30 PM, no TV -- Yun did make the bench for the first time this weekend but didn't get to get on the pitch. Maybe he gets a chance in the cup? Don't have a good temperature reading on this yet.

Wednesday

Lee Kang In-- Valencia @ Leonesa (Cup) - 1 PM on ESPN+ -- Lee Kang In did not get off the bench this weekend in an upset win over Barcelona but that's a positive sign for a start midweek in the cup.

Recap

Hwang Ui Jo-- Played 90 in a win, but I didn't watch and reports were that he missed several good opportunities and was more energetic than quality.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- I saw that he got subbed off around 70 so was worried that he hadn’t done well but I think he played really well and was unfortunate that three beautiful passes were not scored. Perhaps he had a few passes that were unnecessarily risky but only in terms of decision making rather than truly dangerous. It wasn’t all roses as he himself had a very open chance which he launched over from close range and he wasn’t consistently involved the action as one might like. But I thought a good showing IMO.

Jeong Woo Yeong-- Won the AFC U23 which is a good thing, though he didn't look great in the half that he played, missing several chances to score as he looked like he was trying too hard.

Ji Dong Won-- Did not come on

Ki Sung Yueng-- Not in squad as he works through "injury" / looks for new club.

Suk Hyun Jun-- Came on as a sub with 20 minutes left but couldn't change the outcome. Didn't watch to see how he did.

Son Heung Min-- Didn’t watch but he did score so hopefully on the right track for more meaningful matches.
