Midweek Preview Nov 24 and Weekend Recap Nov 20

Hoping the recovery for the players needlessly infected continue.

Tuesday

Hwang Hee Chan -- Leipzig go to PSG at 3PM on CBS All Access - Out due to COVID test and seems like he will miss more time due to quarantine rules, particularly tomorrow and the weekend as well.

Thursday

Son Heung Min -- Tottenham host Ludogorets at 3PM on CBS All Access -  Son again helped launch the upset with a well taken goal, running onto a perfect Ndombele pass and sneaking it under the GK early in the match. Son really showed some fatigue in terms of being at full pace and danger but he worked hard for the 90 minutes, willingly acting as an auxiliary defender and the victory at the end was huge. I think he gets rested midweek against the bottom of the table though should come on off the bench if there is any danger.

Recap

Hwang Ui Jo -- Not in squad for what looked like a precaution against exposure in KNT but Bordeaux won a tight match which is a bit of a mixed bag for HUJ as less likely to change next week.

Lee Jae Sung -- LJS was rested for the first hour after all his work with KNT, but he did come on at 30 minutes. Unfortunately, it sounded like a wild last minute as there was a red card and Kiel conceded to drop two points.

Choi Kyoung Rok -- A pseudo brace for Choi Kyoung Rok who played for a bit over an hour. It sounded like Karlruher was struggling in defense but CKR's offensive contributions were enough to push Karlsruher out of the relegation zone. Both goals were nicely taken, but the first took enough of a deflection that it was judged to be an own goal. Glad to see continued progress for CKR who has overcome many obstacles to get to this point.

Paik Seung Ho -- Paik continues to have a marginal role, only coming on with 6 minutes left. I would assume he's left off for defense, but they continue to leak goals regardless.

Yun Il Lok -- Yun came on at 66 minutes and he was able to flash a lot of his strengths with some good touch and passing. It wasn't perfect though as he probably should have been a stronger defender and didn't quite execute in the final areas. An ok showing that shouldn't hurt his chances going forward.

Kwon Chang Hoon -- Out to COVID... Freiburg really needed his ability to link up play and create chances.

Jeong Woo Yeong -- Really disappointing to see him not come on despite a lopsided scoreline and an ineffective offense. Streich doesn't like international duty but this felt a bit ridiculous.

Ji Dong Won -- Came on with 10 minutes left as fresh legs to ensure Mainz' first win that puts them out of the relegation zone. Didn't need to do much besides some battling for 50/50s and defensive clearances.

Lee Kang In -- Played less than an hour... started off mostly invisible and though was pulled as he started to gain a foothold. LKI needs to find a way to get involved when the match is as choppy as it was. Because his quality passes were really good, setting up a number of good attacks and one near goal, but one could see why he was taken out when Valencia needed some more battling in the attack.
