Son Heung Min-- Son reached a milestone with his 100th goal for Tottenham and it was a good one, breaking into the box and first timing past GK on a good pass from Kane. Not as dominant as one might imagine given Leeds' defensive issues/style, but still strong enough to win MOTM by adding an assist with a good corner and a few other moments of strong danger in second half. Primary shortcoming is trying too hard to pass rather than letting the game flow naturally. Given opponents, would expect Son to be on the bench to start midweek, especially with five subs available, but Mourinho will be eager to get to a cup final so he may come on at any moment of danger.

Hwang Ui Jo-- A decent finish to 2020 likely means a start but there are a few attackers coming back fitness wise so not certain.

Yun Il Lok-- I'd expect a bench spot.

Lee Kang In-- I had prewritten that he was an unused sub when I saw that he came on for an injured Gameiro. Valencia looked a look more attacking after he came on and in some ways LKI was helpful with action flowing through him and distributing ball well. On the other hand, LKI struggled in final third with some so-so decisions and inability to crack opposition defense with his usual skill. A mixed back but with injuries and a decent showing, a positive step. As for the cup, everything is up in the air. League is more important so I’d take a rest here as a good sign but I think he will start.

Recap

Cheon Seong Hoon-- Fell out of squad with Hahn recovering from COVID. Only playing a few minutes in sub friendly today not a good sign on future opportunities.

Paik Seung Ho-- Played over 80 in a loss. Seems he did ok.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- The cup match seemed to help him earn a start and he played over an hour, primarily on the right. He was clearly very excited to start as he flew all over for fifteen or so fairly inefficiently. He settled in and though he was never in the same page as the FB on his side (Schmid) andr didn’t have quite the cutting edge he did in the cup, he had strong contributions to two goals. On one, Kwon scrapped to earn a corner that led to a goal and the other, had a good throughball that teammate crossed in for an own goal. A good but not great showing.

Jeong Woo Yeong-- An unused sub as unlike Kwon, poor cup showing hurt his standing.

Lee Jae Sung-- Played 90 in an apparently deeper role again.

Choi Kyoung Rok-- Recovered from injury to come on as a sub. A good offensive showing without may make an instant return to starting XI tricky.

Hwang Hee Chan-- Finally dressed but an unused sub.

Ji Dong Won-- Ominously not in squad in first match of new sporting director era. New manager came in after so we will see what happens.
