Weekend Preview Feb 6 and Midweek Recap Feb 3

Another frustrating midweek showing compounded by services like ESPN not showing all the content that they have rights to. I'll be in and out of availability to watch so going to make do.

Paik Seung Ho-- Didn't get to watch much (see lede) but came on with eight minutes left in regular time before Darmstadt equalized late before a scoreless ET lead to PKs. Paik scored his but Darmstadt were knocked out. In the part that I did see, Paik didn't seem all that impactful but it was a tough go for Darmstadt in general.

Ji Dong Won-- Maybe a chance for a start with a full week of preparation now.

Jeong Woo Yeong-- Sallai is still out but will Streich rethink his XI after last week's mess? Good chance of Jeong returning to the bench.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Still out injured.

Hwang Hee Chan-- Didn't watch (see lede) but he came on at HT and had an early chance when he showed great speed to beat defender/GK to a long ball... and shot wide of the open goal. He did have a hand in goal #3 with the interception leading to the score. Having not seen, not sure if the showing helped his cause.

Hwang Ui Jo-- When you're playing the league leaders, you have to make the best out of the rare chances and as such Hwang's miss from point blank range just before HT really hurt. He did well to get a long pass under control but somehow skied his shot. In his second great chance, he did much better but an incredible save kept his header out. It was otherwise fairly quiet despite Bordeaux seeing a decent amount of the ball but not getting through into the box often. Given lack of contributions in the air, Hwang really needs to score on these chances. Will start for now.

Son Heung Min-- I haven't watched this yet and it seems it was more of the same so scared to do so. Should start.

Choi Kyoung Rok-- Should continue to start.

Yun Il Lok-- An unused sub in a tight match which is disappointing. Will have to wait for a chance on the bench.

Lee Kang In-- I'm expecting a bench role. No reason to appeal for him to stay in the window anymore.

Lee Jae Sung-- Played the full 90 and looked solid in midfield in the parts that I saw even if he wasn't creating as much in attack as previous. Its a lot of minutes but they have an extra day of rest which increases his chances of starting.
