Weekend Recap Jan 16 and Midweek Schedule/Preview Jan 20

Bundesliga almost returns and a smattering of final friendly action.  But for now cup action!

Wednesday

Son Heung Min --@ Leicester City -  2:45 PM - Fox Sports 1 - Son will look to start as he only came on the weekend in garbage time.  He's really struggled vs Leicester's back four and it will be a double challenge figuring himself out too.

Suk Hyun Jun -- @Famalicao (Cup) - 3:30 PM - No TV - Suk should get his first start as he got clearance and named for the first time to the squad.  It's a low level opponent so hopefully he gets a first goal and starts his Porto career quickly.

Other recaps

Lee Chung Yong -- Came on late but didn't get to do much.

Yun Suk Young -- He played 90 minutes in a closed door reserve friendly.  So probably healthy but not in manager's plans.  Still no word on possible move sadly.

Ki Sung Yueng -- Though Ki looked ragged from all the minutes and effort lately, he still shone for small spots, and in particular providing the assist for the winning goal.  More fight than class but the former is what Swansea needs right now.  With a new head coach, we'll see how Ki gets on with him and potential transfers (including rumors of a loan for de Guzman).

Hong Jeong Ho -- Scored a goal in friendly via header.  Didn't get to watch too much of friendly with streams acting weird/dying.  He's one of best aerial attackers for Augsburg (which sadly isn't saying much) so he'll be looking to add to his goal total when season starts back up.

Ji Dong Won -- Had an assist late in the match.  Started in Koo's role but it looked like moved to left as subs came on.

Koo Ja Cheol -- I didn't see him in training pics despite team returning to Augsburg so a bit worrisome with season re-start coming.

Park Joo Ho -- He looked good in the latest friendly vs AC Sparta Prague in the parts that I saw.  Perhaps the goal helped inspire some more offensive risk taking and his pace which has shown glimpses of returning (at least to previous levels) again flashed here and there.  Still got caught forward a bit more than I'd like.

Kim Jin Su -- Started and looks locked in at LB with Toljan being experimented at DM.
