Weekend Preview May 11 and Midweek Recap May 8

Wow, we have another Korean in the CL finals! Just as the memories of Park Ji Sung start to fade into a more distant memory, Son and Tottenham pull off a miracle coming back from being down by three in aggregate in the final 40 minutes. 3 PM ET on June 1st can't come soon enough.

Last PL weekend of the season as we get near the end here with not much on the line for most of these guys. Always makes predictions tricky but luckily for me, not too many more to make.

Ji Dong Won-- Doubt he'll play given his issues and pending move to Mainz and nothing to play for.

Koo Ja Cheol-- Koo will likely start though Schmidt did mention that he's looking ahead to next year and while Koo's contract remains uncertain, it's unclear if Koo will continue to line up.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- I think they have a lot of players suspended through red cards and the like so he has a decent chance of starting I think but they're desperate and who knows what they'll do to avoid relegation.

Suk Hyun Jun-- I'm not sure if last week went well or not so we'll have to see if he starts.

Ki Sung Yueng-- Last match of the season here  so suspect that Ki will start but not certain. Ki always likes to go home early and there are lot of players like Shelvey who may be antsy to play. UPDATE: Ki ruled out as his "knee" gets usual end of season flare up.

Son Heung Min-- If maybe he had a few breaks go his way, he could have had a hero day, but bad breaks like hitting the post and last ditch blocks made his showing a lot worse as excessive busywork in the box made for difficult chances. But he had quite a few positive contributions, whether deeper helping in the build up, or starting the attack leading to the second. Had they not made the finals, one may have said that it was a failed day, but given the historic win, hard to not see through rose-tinted glasses. UPDATE: Son loses appeal and is out for last PL match and first two next season.

As for Sunday, there's an outside chance he could win his appeal. But even a single match ban means that he will have to wait for CL final for his next match. Quite a long wait which means that he should start if he avoids suspension.
