Weekend Recap: Sept 21

One of the better weekends we've had in a while for the KPA.

Son Heung-Min started things off with the first and third goals in a key win over the defending champions Dortmund.  The first was a header where SHM burst through with his speed onto the end of a perfect VdV cross.  The second was spectacular, intercepting a poor Dortmund pass at the halfway line, dribbling it up the wing, then cutting in and launching a missile into the far corner.  He also played better as a midfielder so lets hope for better things going forward.

Park Chu Young was a sub and scored within minutes of stepping on the pitch by latching onto a far post cross.  It turned out to be the winning goal and he had a nice play with a shot inching just wide later.

Ki Sung Yueng played the full 90 Saturday in a loss to Everton.  KSY started off a bit tentative but started to find his groove firing a pair of his patented long shots just wide.  He moved to the back four soon before Swansea got reduced to 10 men.  Not sure what to make of that move given that KSY's defensive skills being so-so at best.

Lee Chung Yong stayed on the bench as Bolton won.  CDR returned as a sub playing 20 minutes.  PJH played 90.  KJC is still out. SHJ is suspended and JDW didn't even make the bench though there is a cup match this week.
Park Ji Sung played a tough 90 minutes against the spurs. QPR lost but they look better. Hopefully PJS gets into better form as the fixtures get more reasonable.
