A pretty dry weekend of action.
Koo Ja Cheol looked fit and energetic in a 1-1 draw vs 'Gladbach. Played the full 90, and seemed to step up his assertiveness on the pitch.
Son Heung Min had a bland 90 minutes in a 0-2 loss to Dusseldorf. He picked up a leg strain and will be out at least for Tuesday's match, and more worryingly for Hamburg who seem stalled out, VdV will be out a few more weeks on top. Given how much VdV's presence has been key to SHM's development this year, it's not good news. Cha Du Ri I guess picked up a knock and missed the match.
Ki Sung Yueng returned to action, coming on at the halftime break to give Swansea a much needed boost in midfield. Swansea had started off the match well but slowly were starting to concede possession and control to Liverpool. Unfortunately, KSY started to get clumsy after 15 minutes, including a bad clearance right to Suarez' feet. Hopefully the errors were driven by a bit of rust, the wet pitch or some jetlag returning from his sister's wedding in Seoul.
Kim Bo Kyung missed an open net off a rebound and played the full 90. Lee Chung Yong didn't even get to see the pitch despite Bolton being a goal behind. Not sure what it means for LCY's future at Bolton and the new manager.
Park Chu Young was about to come on around 80 minutes when CV scored breaking the tie and rendering his subbing as more of a time wasting function.
Park Ji Sung didn't recover full match fitness for a reunion with his old club, but with an early midweek fixture, the first with Redknapp, hopefully we seem him return this week.
Suk and Ji Dong Won remain far from the bench.
