A fairly eventful weekend of action this week despite Park Ji Sung and Ki Sung Yueng missing action due to injuries. Ki might be back this weekend since his hamstring injury was reported to be pretty minor...
Son Heung Min had a pretty flat day... until he gave Hamburg the lead by bursting through Mainz' defense and tapping home a great cross from an offside Beister at 63 minutes. He put in some good effort throughout the match even if his footballing was not very good.
Koo Ja Cheol got back to his scoring ways though too late to save a point for Augsburg who remain stuck at the bottom of the table. Like many of his FCA goals, he blasted into the corner from the top of the box.
Park Chu Young was totally invisible until he came alive with a goal nearly identical to Son's. Afterwards he seemed to take a lot of confidence from the strike, and moved a lot more naturally and forcefully. Hopefully he builds on this going forward.
Cha Du Ri came on at 56 minutes, in his new midfielder role in a loss to Werder Bremen.
Kim Bo Kyung had a decent game with some nice touches (including breaking a Middlesbrough defender's ankles) and effort playing the full 90 in a win. Could use some more aggressiveness (perhaps confidence) to take on defenders with the ball.
Lee Chung Yong entered at 69 but couldn't keep Bolton from drawing.
Park Joo Ho was an unused sub.
Ji Dong Won remains in off the pitch purgatory. Suk appears to be on his way out as he has not made the bench in many moons.
