Park Ji Sung came on as a sub and scored an amazing goal to bring PSV level in the waning minutes. He managed to perfectly place a shot past the keeper despite being grabbed and pulled down to the ground. He played really well despite the short break on his creaky legs and hopefully he can turn it back on for today's CL qualifier. He should start today but if he plays many minutes, will probably be benched for rest this weekend.
Kim Bo Kyung was also instrumental for his team this weekend, providing creative spark and defensive effort in Cardiff's first Premier League win in decades and a huge upset of Manchester City at that. Although he had a number of great moments, the most important was him weaving through several defenders and working a low cross which resulted in Cardiff's first goal which helped turn momentum in their favor. He should start.
Son Heung Min had some spectacular moments, including dispossessing one player, outrunning another, and coolly flipping the ball past a third, accompanied by mind-numbing decisions, such as the same play resulting in a pass 3 strides too late and no real opportunity created. Hopefully he can put it all together this weekend as he should start.
Koo Ja Cheol was again not bad and not great last weekend, being subbed off after 69 minutes. Park Joo Ho was better in the same match, being solid but unspectacular in both directions. Koo probably will start as will PJH.
Lee Chung Yong played the full ninety in a loss. Reports were that he played well (though some fans would disagree) playing behind the striker. He should start again this weekend.
Ji Dong Won showed some of his skills coming off the bench, including a beautiful through ball that should have resulted in a goal. But he also showed both rust and probably some adjustment time needed as he looked slow to get rid of the ball and ended up losing the ball. He also played a bit more than a half in yesterday's cup match where he played poorly, including being dispossessed leading to one opposition goal. He will probably be on the bench this weekend.
Kiu was an unused sub and will probably be bench material. Same with YSY who did start yesterday's cup match.
