Ki Sung Yueng -- Given that it's a Tuesday match, I think Monk will give Ki a start and get him some momentum before the PL returns this weekend. Ki looked good though working with a heavily rotated squad may be tricky against a just-relegated opponents which might be a tough matchup.
Hong Jeong Ho -- We'll see how his legs held up after 90 minutes on Sunday but he should start if fit.
Koo Ja Cheol -- Koo should start though it remains to be seen which AM role he'll play or if he's a bit run-down from all the minutes over the past few days.
Ji Dong Won -- Ji could get a start at multiple spots midweek, possibly at LM or striker, particularly the latter with Matavz missing a number of really easy chances to score. But he could continue to be a bench option to fill in at one of those spots depending on the flow of the match. I'm at 50/50 right now on which.
Ryu Seung Woo -- I don't expect any changes here.
Park Joo Ho -- After not playing this weekend, he'll likely get a chance to provide fresher legs midweek though it's unclear whether at LB or DM. But in either case, I think he gets a start though bench of course is possible for him.
UPDATE PJH didn't travel
Kim Jin Su -- I think he gets a bench, both for his confidence/freshness but also with the matchup against Dortmund where he really had a hard time dealing with the pace of their attackers last year.
Lee Chung Yong -- Lee Chung Yong should get a chance to start and with a rotated squad, he'll have to work hard to stay in Pardew's thoughts for PL matches. With Zaha getting criticism over weekend and other poor performances from some of Crystal Palace's attackers, there's opportunities at least to move up the depth chart.
Son Heung Min -- North london derby vs rest for Son. I'm leaning towards the latter though I think Son will be advocating to continue his good form on the pitch. It is a rivalry match but logic says that both clubs will field rotated squads so early in the cup.
