Weekend Recap - Sept 25th

My best to recap... was a bit distracted from watching with as much intent as usual.

Yun Suk Young -- Still not fit I guess.  QPR really struggling so maybe Yun might get a look if he can get healthy.

Son Heung Min -- He played really well despite not scoring a goal and was subbed off after 77 minutes.  Even his failed shot from up close was rebounded to Dier who scored, as Son was very good at playmaking and defending and other similar non-scoring contributions.  A good sign that his tactical confusion at Leverkusen seems to be a product of distraction about pending transfer rather than confidence or quality.  A step forward for him and Tottenham as they beat the league leaders.

Hong Jeong Ho -- Was beaten and fouled the attacker for a PK.  Very frustrating as Augsburg was controlling much of the match but lapses like this resulted in a loss.

Ji Dong Won -- Came on late and did well enough but not enough to make a difference.

Koo Ja Cheol -- Koo was the best of the Augsburg players this weekend and his form continued with a nice headed goal.  Again, Koo's influence was a huge positive over the match.  Very glad to see him thriving in his new(-ish) club and a role that suits him perfectly.

Ryu Seung Woo -- Unused.

Kim Jin Su -- Unused sub.  As Hoffenheim keep doing well, KJS might have to wait for his next chance.

Ki Sung Yueng -- Swansea really struggled to control the match, and Ki was not immune from the team's issues.  The diamond which worked so well previously showed its problems, with Ki lacking the ability to influence as he can when positioned wider and the deletion of an attacking option up front.  We'll see how Monk will adjust after one of the more disappointing Swansea performances of recent times.

Lee Chung Yong -- Dropped from the squad entirely.  Pardew mentioned injuries but didn't mention Chungy's name which is quite a concern.  That said, the fact that two CPFC youths were on the bench seems to indicate that Chungy was hurt or otherwise unavailable because I don't think he received much criticism for his midweek performance.

Suk Hyun Jun -- Scored again and Suk has been one of the top performances in Portugal so far.  His performances have to have caught the eyes of scouts and January should be interesting.

Park Joo Ho -- An unused sub.
