Weekend Schedule Sept 11th

Since it was international week, it remains to be seen exactly who will be fresh enough to start this weekend after lots of travel, and in particular, very hard conditions in Lebanon.

Transfer fallouts will also have an effect so take the predictions with a bit more uncertainty than normal.

Yun Suk Young has started 3 reserve matches in the past week as he works to regain match fitness.  That kind of load most likely means that he won't start this weekend but that he's fit enough to make the bench though it remains to be seen where Yun fits in the current LB hierarchy.

Hong Jeong Ho was unused vs Lebanon after going 90 vs Laos and so he may be fresh enough to start this weekend as he normally does though maybe Weinzierl will prefer un-jetlagged players vs Bayern.

Ji Dong Won had a bit of good news in that Molders was not included in Augsburg's Europa squad while Ji was.  So at least there will be those matches where Ji should be in the depth mix.  For now though, Ji probably will be bench or out of the squad.

Koo Ja Cheol started and played a half on the left wing vs Lebanon after spending a few days in Augsburg finalizing transfer and getting some training in.  Perhaps Stielike was trying to keep him fresh for the weekend where Koo will be looking to re-debut for Augsburg.  Given price tag possibly or maybe even probably a start though bench is also equally as likely.

Ryu Seung Woo started a friendly as he looks to break back into Schmidt's first team plans.

Park Joo Ho missed the first friendly and was an unused sub in the second.  I'm a bit confused as to why he flew to Lebanon to warm the bench but perhaps it was just a gesture to keep him in KNT consideration.  I expect a bench role for him this weekend while Schmelzer continues his hot start.

Lee Chung Yong scored and played 77 vs Laos and 90 vs Lebanon.  That's a lot of work but given that he'll most likely be on the bench for the weekend, probably appreciated by Chungy.

Ki Sung Yueng captained and played both full WCQ matches and looked really sharp doing so.  He'll probably be itching to get back into the starting lineup but after all that travel and playing time, I expect Ki to be on the bench to start this weekend.

Son Heung Min scored a hat trick vs Laos but flew home early to finalize his transfer and perhaps get back into Spurs training rather than play vs Lebanon.  It remains to be seen how the Spurs will want to introduce their big signing, and I could see him starting or beginning on the bench as possibilities.

Kim Jin Su only played the second match though he looked to be gassed at the end.  He has an extra day to rest and his competitor for LB also played over international break so it will depend on his freshness upon returning.  Leaning towards a start.

Suk Hyun Jun scored one and played large parts of both matches but he should be starting as his club look to have Suk continue his hot form.
