Midweek Recap Dec 28th and Weekend Preview Jan 1

Happy new year as the transfer window opens.  I don't expect too much movement this window though the future of Yun and Suk are hanging out there.  I'll cover a bit more next week.

Ki Sung Yueng -- He was rested after a match on short rest.  Curtis intimated that due to injuries to certain players that he went for rest over quality.  But Ki did come on early at around 55' and made his impact felt with some high energy and quality play.  Swansea's sluggish attack turned around with his introduction and it was a very good performance even if it didn't result in goals.  Some really nice passes to start the Swansea attack and some nifty moves to keep possession.  He's very likely to start on Saturday.

Lee Chung Yong -- He rushed home after the birth of his child and immediately was on the bench.  He came on at 70 minutes but looked quite jet-lagged with some poor passing, including one intercepted by Ki.  I'm not sure how this will impact his situation on the weekend.  Perhaps he starts but a bench spot seems likely for now.

Son Heung Min -- Surprising and a bit worrisome that he didn't start.  But he certainly made an argument for doing so this weekend with some nice runs and scoring the winning goal, and doing the latter in spectacular fashion, backheeling the cross and nutmegging Gomes in the final minutes of the match.  Certainly a bench spot and I think that he will finally get another start on Sunday.

Yun Suk Young -- Doubt he'll make the squad but with QPR stalling, perhaps he gets a look.  But probably will be left off still.
