Only Europa on Thursday this week. Augsburg need to win to keep their Europa hopes alive. With winter break nearing and Augsburg looking better, perhaps Weinzierl takes a bigger chance than he might have a few weeks ago. As for the rest, only table position left on the line for Dortmund and Tottenham.
Thursday
Park Joo Ho -- 1 PM vs PAOK - Fox Sports 2 - The match is at home so perhaps Tuchel goes with a stronger side, but logic and odds say that Park Joo Ho has a good chance of starting to provide players like Schmelzer a rest. The bigger question might be at which position he lines up, but for now I think LB is the probable spot.
Koo Ja Cheol / Ji Dong Won / Hong Jeong Ho -- 3:05 PM at Partizan - Fox Soccer 2 Go -- I think despite what I said above, I think Koo will be rested and Ji should start. Hong Jeong Ho may get a look if he's healthy but I think it is still too early for him though no reports one way or another have made it out yet about preparation.
Son Heung Min -- 3:05 PM vs Monaco - Fox Sports 1 -- Since Son was rested this past weekend, he should start and most likely as a CF to give Harry Kane a rest. Although Son may be eager to get on score sheet, Tottenham do not have much to play for vs. Monaco who still has a chance of moving on. We'll see how Son handles a tough team in this scenario.
