Weekend Recap and Midweek Preview

In which I blog instead of finishing my work far too late at night. Not that there's too much to write about though, and what I do have is ugly.

Wednesday

Son Heung Min -- vs Dortmund - Wednesday - 2:45 PM Fox Sports 1 -- As Poch used a back three, Son sat on the bench. Lots of variables in play and pretty much all pointed to him being on the bench, between international travel, Son's weak play, CL midweek, and Poch's desire to use 3 in the back with his new buy. We will see where Son is used against a team who he's had good success against and I'd expect him to be rotated in.

Recaps

Ji Dong Won -- Didn't make squad. I'm unclear if he's still got those nagging injuries.

Koo Ja Cheol -- With a small injury picked up during international travel, Koo was also left out of the squad.

Kwon Chang Hoon -- With mildly sprained ankle, KCH also missed out.

Suk Hyun Jun -- Scored with reserves as he works himself back into match fitness... we'll see when he gets a chance.

Lee Chung Yong -- Eesh. Gets a start and he just sets it on fire with a horrible backpass that led to Burnley's winning goal. To compound matters, LCY did nothing in the attacking end, presenting no danger at all. And while he wasn't singlehandedly responsible for getting de Boer sacked, LCY certainly helped push him out the door. I don't expect much from him after that embarrassment.

Lee Seung Woo -- Made his first matchday squad but didn't get to debut, despite Hellas Verona getting clobbered. Given that he got work permit shortly before match, maybe not too much of a surprise.

Ki Sung Yueng -- Hasn't returned to training.
