Weekend Recap Oct 14th and Midweek Preview Oct 17th

Some surprise starts but only watched some as I was gone much of the weekend. Hope to catch up on some when I get a chance.

Tuesday
Son Heung Min -- Tottenham go to Real Madrid - 2:45 PM ET on Fox Sports 2. Son was a surprise starter this weekend when Davies was ruled out with illness. He started off in the LWB spot but quickly shifted in a more normal attacking midfielder role with Tottenham switching to back four. Son had a lot of license to roam and had some very good touches, but also looked a bit lost in spaces as well. With Davies out again and Rose not ready to go, we will see what role he gets but he should start if only out of necessity.

Recap

Ji Dong Won -- Apparently during cellular outage I suffered at work, I missed the news that he had picked up a knock. Getting back in squad will be hard as long as results keep going well and he keeps  getting minor injuries.

Koo Ja Cheol -- Started and played ok. Looked a bit flat from international duty and struggled to be impactful. He did have a defensive lapse which fortunately wasn’t punished.

Lee Chung Yong -- With Zaha fit, Lee Chung Yong dropped from squad and we will see when he returns.

Ki Sung Yueng -- Came on as a sub for last twenty minutes or so. Still looking a bit slow but had some sharp moves including hitting it inches off the target. Not a bad showing and perhaps he’s getting near a bigger role.

Kwon Chang Hoon -- Starting vs PSG shows that he’s being trusted more and did well from what I gather but I didn’t watch.

Suk Hyun Jun -- An unused sub which isn’t a great sign.

Lee Seung Woo -- First three points of season is good for team but obviously meant manager wasn’t going to risk bringing on LSW.
