Weekend Recap Sep 1

Didn't get to watch too much given that my football time was spent on Asian Games. But fortunately, international break gives me a chance to focus back in on club football as I'm not caring about KNT friendlies right now.

Ji Dong Won -- Came on as a late time-wasting sub again. Two similar showings indicate he's not far from a bigger role, but still a bit on the margins right now.

Koo Ja Cheol -- Got his first start and apparently as a CM and played 75 minutes. Apparently did ok and he'll have an international break without distraction.

Ki Sung Yueng -- Played 90... I watched part of the replay and it felt more of the same. Clearly not as mobile as he has been which causes some holes in the defense behind him, but still solid in an unadventurous side. I don't think he's earned a starting spot and certainly not even looked as sharp as he did in friendly, but he's battling and we'll see if he can have a more positive impact when they're not sitting so deep. I am surprised he's still doing KNT though given how not 100% he looks.

Suk Hyun Jun -- Came on as a sub. Worrisome that he's not started but the season is long and he has international break to earn the start.

Son Heung Min -- Freedom! Wasn't a great final but they got the win and Son can now focus on his career if he doesn't get run to the ground first with senior team duty.
