Midweek Preview Feb 26 and Weekend Recap Feb 22

Fair amount of midweek action. Work blocked easy access to NBCSN so will be watching those on delay I guess.

Ki Sung Yueng-- Good news is that Ki was selected ahead of Diame and Shelvey, but the bad news is that he didn't come on. Things are going well with Longstaff and Hayden but with a short turnaround, perhaps we see a rotation in the middle or Ki could be booted out of squad in favor of a fit Shelvey or for a different type of option, Diame.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Played for 70 minutes and Dijon remain second from bottom. Didn't get to watch as was at work. Given that they're playing PSG, perhaps KCH is on the bench but maybe they'll risk him a start as they get closer to finals.

Son Heung Min-- Burnley destroyed all rhythm that Tottenham had in midfield and really limited the touches that Son and the rest of the attackers had. He had a few nice touches and crosses but really struggled to make an impact and had he not been on such hot form, might have been taken out earlier. The fitness hurdle still seems a bit off so I think Son starts again midweek.

Lee Kang In-- Disappointingly left off squad. Maybe that he means he gets to warm bench midweek, but I don't see a major change in status.

Ji Dong Won-- This team is so fragile and when you combine that with goalkeeping issues, all it takes is a bad mistake for things to go downhill fast and they went terribly. I stopped watching once it turned ugly in the first half and so I missed Ji's assist. Before that, it didn't really matter what he did as Augsburg was too busy letting in goals or losing the ball cheaply for Ji to do much... the only moment I can recall of note was Ji winning the ball well and turning it back over moments later.

Koo Ja Cheol-- Koo gave up a cheap ball early which was an omen for the terrible way in which Augsburg would play. In the half I saw, he looked really haphazard in his positioning but he did play the full 90 so maybe others were worse.

Suk Hyun Jun-- An unused sub but Reims is rolling.

Paik Seung Ho-- Left off squad and accidentally the blog.
