Weekend Preview Feb 28 and Recap Feb 21

Good news! Ki returns to my lineup, now in La Liga where he joins relegation-threatened Mallorca on a short term deal to the end of the season. That said, not sure if my weekend schedule lines up to watch Ki and I also realized that the deal to add BeIn at 50% off expired while I was waiting for deal to finalize so now I'm extra sad.

Didn't get to watch a lot last weekend beyond KCH so consider more of a preview than a recap.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Played first half, and when he was subbed off at HT, I was surprised. He wasn't playing great, particularly on defense, but he was involved in most of the good attacks, with one play that was just offside (that Hoeler somehow missed) and with a better pass could have scored the equalizer. That last play may have been why he was subbed off as it turns out he had a muscle tear that prevents him from playing this weekend. Didn't look too serious but you never know with these injuries. When he does return, he'll need to work on being more vigilant on defense.

Ji Dong Won-- An unused sub. Disappointing because the match was more or less over, but maybe reflective of his health if that was the cause behind missing last week altogether. So continued bench role and still waiting for an official Mainz debut.

Lee Kang In-- Got to play 30 minutes... but the match was already over as Valencia was down by three. It seemed he did ok, but I don't expect a major change in his sub role this weekend.

Yun Il Lok-- He sounded lively in his first start but I didn't get to watch and he came off after 75 minutes. I hadn't expected him to start so it seems he's progressing well and maybe another start is in the cards.

Hwang Ui Jo-- Another match unwatched by me and another goal. He stayed on longer than last week and comments were much more positive compared to prior weeks. All of these are especially positive given the fact that they were facing PSG. He should start again this weekend.

Ki Sung Yueng-- Impossible for me to guess how he might be used given the fact that he's been without a club for a few weeks here, but I would guess that a cameo off the bench seems possible.

Son Heung Min-- Was in Korea for surgery and no insight into a possible return.
