What a disaster. Son is possibly out for the season as he appeared to have re-injured his broken arm. So much less to watch, a big concern given this injury's history and potential impact on next season if Tottenham doesn't get CL spot.
And with Lee Kang In also injured, no real reason to have a preview but...
Wednesday
Son Heung Min -- Tottenham host Leipzig at 3PM on TNT - I was going to write that it was an awful performance offset by one good goal and another luckier one. But with news that his collision early in the match was a broken arm, the showing looks a lot better given the amount of pain he must have been in. I thought it was strange how off the pace he looked, though that didn't explain his poor decision making. Then again, he did have some nice passes and could have had some tap-in goals if his teammates looked for him more. And when his PK was saved, things looked dire but luckily there was a rebound and Son scored, and then he pounced on a terrible defensive error and scored a last minute winner to keep Tottenham's CL chase on. But now they'll have to do without Son, and as mentioned at the top, potentially rest of season, and I'm very sad about this all.
Lee Kang In -- Valencia go to Atalanta at 3PM on B/R Live - Unsurprisingly an unused sub and now having to withdraw from training due to injury, he is left out of the side. Hopefully nothing serious.
Recap
Hwang Ui Jo -- Another headed goal, so at least contributing though reports were only marginally better on his showing though he did stay on until final minutes. A lot of talk has been about his struggle to play wider but having not watched him lately, hard for me to gauge.
Kwon Chang Hoon -- Came on with a few minutes left but really had no touches beyond the one time when he got fouled. Kinda disappointing for him to have such a small role on a day when Freiburg could have used some offensive spark but Streich seemed afraid to put him on as their defense was getting a bit soft.
Ji Dong Won -- Fell out of squad. Not sure if there was a setback to his knee or something.
Yun Il Lok -- Came on with 30 minutes or so left. I didn't watch so don't have a good opinion on his play.
