Jeong Woo Yeong -- Came on at 75 as a second forward but sadly when Freiburg had gone down by two. Given subs on, seems Streich was worried about defending against Leipzig but still disappointing to wait so long. Jeong brought some decent energy to attack, but also had a number of mistakes. Given the number of misplaced passes and bad decisions by his teammates, however, the lack of minutes continues to frustrate.
Kwon Chang Hoon -- Came on at 84. Kwon in his limited touches helped bring some cohesion to the attack that was so absent in Freiburg's attack. Not sure why it seems his slipping down the depth chart as I'm seeing mostly positives vs. others in the limited amount he plays.
Hwang Hee Chan -- Came on at 86 as his wait for a more meaningful role stretches on. He didn't get too many touches... playing keep-away for a bit and a pretty awful pass in the final seconds.
Ji Dong Won -- Worked hard when he came on as a sub but more defensive play than anything else as Mainz were holding onto first points of the season. Sadly they conceded a bit after he came on and he didn't get many touches on the ball. At least he appears to be moving well.
Hwang Ui Jo -- An unused sub despite needing goals and only three subs used. Pretty ugly both on the pitch and in terms of HUJ's minutes.
Yun Il Lok -- Came on in the final minutes to help kill time with most of the subs coming on in deeper roles. Time-wasting role better than none I guess.
Son Heung Min -- Wasn't really his day in the attacking third but did provide some needed help in midfield areas with the buildup for a time as the they struggled against a disruptive West Brom defense. There were times when we could see how Son/Kane/Bale front line might cause problems, but with Bale not at full fitness and few touches overall, only a glimpse more so than anything else. A fortunate win keeps them in good shape but Tottenham are showing a continuing lack of offensive creativity.
Paik Seung Ho -- He did come on so looks like he's fit again though only as a sub and the match was already gone.
Choi Kyoung Rok -- Started again and played 80 minutes. I'm not sure he did well but they're finally out of the drop zone with the win and that bodes well for continuing to start.
Lee Kang In -- Everything about this match was a bit surprising. First LKI got the start, then Valencia got a number of fluky goals and looked like he might go the full 90 until coming up with what looked a minor muscle issue. As for LKI, he struggled to get touches for a while in the first half, and showed some of his flaws. He fell over too easily under pressure (though maybe a bigger name might get more calls) and had some bad decisions on when to dribble. But when he started the buildup and launched the balls forward, his quality shone and at the start of the second half, showed a bit of flair to dribble and shoot from distance and be a Courtois finger away from a brilliant goal. Positive signs and wins only help his cause.
Lee Jae Sung -- Played the 90 and was everywhere, spending much of the first 30 minutes helping out central midfield, and somehow adding more attacking roles on both wings to his positional load without losing much on defense. Unfortunately, there was a lack of precision in Kiel's attack, and so his influence on that side waxed and waned... when his teammates were linking passes, LJS was often able to find the open man, but couldn't create quality offense when they weren't. Was good seeing him though would have liked to have seen a superlative moment against the league leaders.
