Midweek Preview Feb 16 and Weekend Recap Feb 12

More bad than good this weekend. And we'll see how much I can watch this week with power outages here.

Tuesday

Hwang Hee Chan-- Leipzig "hosted" Liverpool -- Hwang Hee Chan did come on as a sub with 20ish minutes left after being an unused sub.

Thursday

Son Heung Min-- Tottenham go "to" Wolfsberger at 12:55 PM on CBS All Access -- Tottenham were not playing well and every change made things worse as Mourinho tried to plug in holes in behind rather than trouble Man City at all. Son looked quite tired, losing races to loose balls for example, but did work hard, particularly on the defensive end.

Recap

Lee Jae Sung-- Kiel keeps promotion chase alive with a win. LJS played 90.

Choi Kyoung Rok-- I've mentioned that CKR's minutes have been despite a lack of final product but that turned around this weekend: an assist and a brace to turn around a two goal deficit to a win. Heroic stuff but sadly I didn't get to see.

Jeong Woo Yeong-- Jeong started but it was a difficult match for Freiburg. Lack of offensive fluidity from the side and Jeong wasn't helping with his old habits of too much risk-taking in his passing.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Missed with injury but returned to training this week so hopefully a week or two from a return.

Yun Il Lok-- An unused sub.

Paik Seung Ho-- Frustratingly also remains an unused sub for whatever reasons.

Ji Dong Won-- Apparently missed a penalty but did play almost 80 minutes. Apparently a bit of a step down from his warm start to the loan.

Lee Kang In-- LKI did come on with 25 minutes or so. He had some nice touches but looks lost playing on the wings and gave up the ball too easily under physical pressure. Apparently the first half was miserable so maybe a sign that Gracia is starting to rethink things with Valencia only three points off the drop zone.

Hwang Ui Jo-- Again, a tough day... even though Bordeaux had a fair amount of possession, the ball was often lost in the final third with selfish dribbling and predictable motions from the wingers. As I've mentioned, it can be feast or famine for a CF in this situation and Hwang did miss a very good chance to score. Even though there was a lot of difficulty left to do, memories might linger on a day with so few chances.
