Not a ton available for me to watch, but glad to get away from 2x a week posts for a couple weeks. Hoping the best for those travelling for such a needlessly risky friendly.
Lee Jae Sung -- Match postponed due to COVID.
Choi Kyoung Rok -- Played nearly the whole match in a draw.
Hwang Hee Chan -- Came on quite early relative to other forwards and brought a lot of good energy and physicality to the front line. Offsetting that was a lack of touch which caused more than a few clumsy turnovers and wasted a great chance with HHC through on goal with defender recovering. Apparently the pitch wasn't in great shape but it felt like the mental pressure of scoring his first league goal and / or earning a larger role started to take its toll.
Ji Dong Won -- Started and played 70. Apparently working his way through some muscular issue.
Hwang Ui Jo -- It can be very hard to watch a so-so team like Bordeaux for the 3-5 moments in a match for HUJ to touch the ball, let alone have a chance to score. As I've stated before, its hard to judge his showings on such small sample sizes but at least he ends up on the positive balance this weekend with a goal. HUJ raced onto a lobbed throughball that the defender misjudged; HUJ then calmly placed the ball past the goalkeeper neatly in the far corner. He had a couple other chances that were not trivial but it was disappointing to see him completely shank his shots. Its hard to get in a rhythm with so few touches but he's on a pretty good run even if he could be more efficient.
Yun Il Lok -- Out of squad. I wonder if there's a move back to Korea in the cards?
Lee Kang In -- Came on with ten minutes to go and Valencia up by two. He didn't get to do a lot but had some nice buildup play but also a couple of bad dribbles.
Jeong Woo Yeong -- An unused sub. I don't think the primary cause but I did forget that international breaks tend to be detrimental to Jeong's minutes.
Kwon Chang Hoon -- Played over an hour with the reserve team. I assume the primary goal was to get some match minutes under his belt and maybe secondarily to help promotion cause down there.
Son Heung Min -- Out injured and the gamble paid off as Tottenham still got three points to be within shouting distance of the top four.
