Ji Dong Won-- With Finnbogason returning, perhaps his bench spot is at risk but then again, Augsburg offense is struggling without him so hopefully he gets a chance soon.
Koo Ja Cheol-- Koo is one of their better players but looks somewhat homeless in the system. We will see if he starts or is in the bench.
Son Heung Min-- Son continues to show great energy and created lots of chances with it. Tottenham never got into high gear so it was a bit wasted but Son’s good work was rewarded with a goal as he had a trickier than it looked tap in of a cross. He also had two chances that were just on woodwork or goalie and created a few. Only demerits were some bad touches where the minutes recently seemed to make his touch a bit sloppy.
Ki Sung Yueng-- Rafa setup his team very defensively and Ki did his part and provided good ball control against heavy Everton pressure and preserving what little possession they had with clean passing. The odd numbered defensive line seems to help mask Ki’s lackluster work rate and allowed him to do what he does best, establishing control and poise with the ball. Since he’s got an extra day of rest, I expect him to start again though Benitez might rotate his CM/DM choices.
Suk Hyun Jun-- Played a good twenty minutes albeit without scoring so he’s being used but no major change to his situation as a benchwarmer.
