Some cup and CL action midweek.
Tuesday (all League Cup)
Lee Chung Yong and Bolton go to Crewe Alexandria. Lee Chung Yong played the full 90 last weekend and may be rested for this one. 2:45 PM ET and no TV.
Kim Bo Kyung and Cardiff City are at Port Vale. Kimbo didn't play, possibly as a function of the controversy or a potential move to Celtic. Not sure if either issue will settle enough for him to play though it would be a good chance to impress. 2:45 PM ET and no TV.
Ki Sung Yueng and Swansea host Rotherham United. Ki worked hard and played 90 in a difficult win for Swansea. Facing a lot of midfield pressure, Swansea struggled for their normal fluidity but Ki had some good tackles and passes even if not as bright as last week. He may get the rest for this but Swansea is thin depth wise. 2:45 PM ET and no TV.
Wednesday
Son Heung Min and Bayer Leverkusen host FC Copenhagen in leg 2 of CL playoffs. Son caused Dortmund a lot of problems with his speed and movement but his decisions and finishing were a bit off though Leverkusen came off with a big three away points against top rival. He came off around 75' looking pretty tired so hopefully the congestion of CL+BL won't be too much. He probably will start if fresh. The broadcasting is a bit tricky. Its scheduled for Fox Soccer Plus. Some regionals also have it (e.g. Fox Sports Southwest), and ESPN3 is listing. They listed on ESPN3 last week but it wasn't available come kickoff so I would not bank on it. Sadly, my local Fox Sports affiliate isn't showing it.
Yun Suk Young and QPR go to Burton Albion in Cup. Yun didn't make the bench yet again. Probably was fortunate to have nothing to do with a huge loss to the Spurs. Given a cup match and low level of opposition (League Two), Yun will hopefully get a chance to start and get back on 1st team radar. 2:45 PM ET and no TV.
