Pretty simple schedule with only one fixture involving Korean footballers in Europe.
Wednesday at 2:45 PM ET, Son Heung Min and Leverkusen host Monaco in the penultimate CL group stage match. They only need a point to most likely wrap up the first spot in the group (with one of Zenit/Benfica needing to win out and make up lots of GD) with a win guaranteeing it. As a result I expect Schmidt to go full strength for this one, including Son most likely starting. As for last match, Son had a hard time establishing himself as Leverkusen started off slow and had a hard time keeping possession and transition to attack. Things opened up in the second half however, and Son helped seal with win with a well taken goal, patiently working the ball and then cutting in and curling a ball past the GK with his right foot. He still was a bit off and on for the rest of the match, with some better decision making but also some sloppy touches. The match will be on ESPN3/DirecTV.
