Midweek Recap Mar 12 and Weekend Recap Mar 10

Daylight savings change reminder for football schedule too.

Tuesday

Kwon Chang Hoon -- He's on the bench vs PSG. Didn't get to watch but as they were down to 10 men, probably didn't miss much. Given the fact that they're playing PSG where he'd not do much besides defend, a bench spot will hopefully help him with form and energy.

Thursday

Lee Kang In -- Valencia at Krasnodar (Europa League) - 1:55 PM ET - LKI is in the travelling group but faces a challenge to get into 18 and will be probably lucky to get garbage minutes.

Recap

Ji Dong Won -- Every time that Ji does well, he gets hurt it seems and so it was again as he had to miss the match with a muscular issue.

Koo Ja Cheol -- Though he started off at a right attacker role, Koo quickly dropped back deep into RCM and that's being generous as to his positioning as he was often inline with the back line. That said, it was a decent showing for Koo who stayed

Ki Sung Yueng -- Ki started off quite slow and uninvolved but started to find his feet in the second half with more concerted forward action. Unfortunately for Ki, he was taken off for Shelvey when the match turned around. I stopped watching when Ki went off so not sure how much can be attributed to Shelvey vs. Pickford errors and better finishing but at least its three points even if it may mean a bench role next week.

Son Heung Min -- Poch played it way too easy on relegation-zone Southampton and paid the price for resting a few players, including Son. The team is trying to balance the complete exhaustion at various positions, integrating Kane and Alli back into the mix and also keeping bench players involved but it went all wrong this weekend. Not good as the battle for CL spots becomes very tight now.

Suk Hyun Jun -- Left off squad again.

Paik Seung Ho -- Left off squad and came off for the bench for reserve team.
