Midweek Preview Feb 4 and Weekend Recap Feb 1

The table looks pretty small nowadays. Didn't watch too much live and still catching up on the  on-demand.

Lee Kang In-- Didn't play this weekend which hopefully means he has a bigger role in the less important cup. I suspect he'll start.

Hwang Ui Jo-- Played 90 on the left but reports weren't great and apparently missed a good chance. Apparently the entire attack wasn't quite on the same page and earned a point despite playing second in the table so difficult to read. Seems Hwang will continue to start for now but with a short week, maybe a bit of rotation to the bench?

Yun Il Lok-- Still waiting for his debut. With a short week, maybe he finally gets a chance off the bench.

Son Heung Min-- Writing this after watching an hour or so, and Tottenham remain disjointed though playing Man City is more of an excuse than usual. They were very lucky not to concede several times in that first hour and in attack, there's not the level of rehearsal that we saw with Pochettino's attack, let alone the top attacks in Europe. As a result, there were way too many errant passes and dribbles into traffic and as a result, few quality chances. Son was about as guilty as his teammates on both fronts even though he was trying very hard. Of course things worked out in the end and Son iced the match with a strong shot for a goal into the corner with a lucky deflection on the way in. Three crucial unexpected points which brings the top 4 within sight but still look far from a CL side. With CL coming soon, I'd have to think Son gets a rest on the bench but they also want a trophy so we'll see.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Watched a bit as Kwon played 90 and he looked ok if not as good as prior weeks but part was hard to judge when Freiburg got completely run over in midfield and defense. A poor run of form from Freiburg but I think Kwon has been one of the stronger attackers though this week, not saying much.

Ji Dong Won-- Remained an unused sub so we'll see if he ups his training this week and gets closer to making his Mainz league debut.
