Ki Sung Yueng-- Was left out of squad and the lack of news around it make it hard to figure out what's going on, but perhaps Ki has decided to not risk injury and let his contract run out. If so, will have made the entire transfer quite anticlimactic.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Came on as a sub with 30 minutes to go and after a quiet start, really was one of the strongest attackers on the pitch. Some real nice passes and crosses setup some great chances and opened the space for the Freiburg attack which had been lagging. He also showed decent strength and pace to win 50-50s and fouls. Still a bit leaky in defense which won't help his case to start when their defense almost let in three so easily. But a short week might be the chance to start but a role off the bench in either case.

Ji Dong Won-- That injury continues to plague Ji and his season of frustration continues as he was left out again. Short week and no news likely means continued absence as Mainz drifts closer to the relegation zone.

Lee Jae Sung-- LJS missed the weekend match with a groin injury, likely picked up on that goal last weekend. Seems that if he missed the weekend, a short week is unlikely to change but we can

Seo Young Jae-- An unused sub and continues to count down the days until the end of the season.

Paik Seung Ho-- Came on as a sub and played more as a DM this time and did well with limited touches. Still a bit too risky playing out of the back, but PSH provided structure in general to the buildup. And he had an assist too, even if his contribution was sending in the corner. A good showing and with a short rest, maybe leads to more of a role. Hopefully starts but we'll see.

Lee Kang In-- Disappointingly an unused sub despite facing 10 men and having a sub remaining to use. With the window opening soon, maybe there's an argument for not risking an injury that would jeopardize a loan move. As a result, perhaps we should hope for not much of a change this weekend, but I don't think much hoping needed.

Son Heung Min-- Hard to know where's he at, post broken arm and military duty, but I suspect that he will start.
