Weekend Preview June 12 and Weekend Recap June 5

La Liga returns. I don't have a good sense if Ki will be back which may impact my desire to pay that much money for one guy who hardly plays.

Lee Kang In-- As with all newly returned players, hard to tell the new roles but I doubt a major change will be in the cards for LKI. Likely on the bench, hopefully comes on as a sub.

Lee Jae Sung-- Back to his false 9 role, it paid off with an assist and a goal even if it wasn't always pretty. Both involvements were more scrappy than good, with the former being a battle in the box to get a touch on the ball that was scored, and the latter latching onto a through ball and sacrificing his body to touch it past GK. Offense is offense and wasn't too bad otherwise and should start again.

Seo Young Jae-- Reports are that he will be headed back to Korea when his contract expires at the end of the month. With the other LB extending, felt inevitable that his European future would be cloudy. Having not seen him pre-knee injury, I'm curious how that setback impacted his career but hard to have interest when you don't play.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- He did come on but not until final minutes to help kill time. He did ok when he arrived but a still small role and don't see a major change this weekend.

Ki Sung Yueng-- I haven't seen him in training pics and videos so unclear if he's just waiting for his contract to expire or has a knock that he's working through. As such I'm not expecting much.

Paik Seung Ho-- Came on as an early sub playing in a more CM role for much of the time. Not responsible for some really awful goals that they let in. Was positive in the buildup though he did take a bit more risk than necessary at times. With promotion playoff spot quite far away, we'll see if they go for it or start thinking about next year but as for now I expect his large sub role to continue.

Ji Dong Won-- So far no news means likely unlikely to play but maybe fit enough for a bench spot.
