Weekend Preview June 5 and Weekend Recap May 29

A bit hard to be enthusiastic about football given the more important issues in the world like police brutality and escalation of violence from US "leaders".

News starting to firm up on return dates of La Liga (June 11) and Premier League (June 17).

Lee Jae Sung-- Started but a rare sub off at 74'. Still playing behind the striker, LJS tried to get the attack going but everything was off, technically and in terms of synchronizing with his teammates. He battled to the end but covering that much ground on short rest looked like it was taking its toll. He should start with a full week of rest.

Seo Young Jae-- An unused sub and likely to remain on the bench this week.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Came on as a sub with 15 minutes, playing predominantly on the left, though shifting in width at various times. Brought some good fresh legs and had a decent chance in final minutes shooting with his weaker foot a few inches wide. But without a more material impact, I expect him to remain on the bench vs. a strong Gladbach side.

Paik Seung Ho-- His sub appearance started off brightly earning a PK a couple minutes after coming on at the hour. Sadly, the PK taken by Platte hit off the post which would haunt Darmstadt later when they let in a goal near the end. PSH played deeper as the match wore on and didn't have a strong control of the match. Likely on the bench again.

Ji Dong Won-- An unused sub which is disappointing given that they trailed by a single goal. As such, expect him on the bench. EDIT: Seems Ji's got some back problems which may explain why he didn't appear last weekend but also makes it unlikely that he'll play even if he makes the bench.
