Weekend Preview June 25 and Weekend Recap 20

Last weekend in Germany so large reduction in my blogging load but sad about quantity of football to watch. Good news is that most of the teams are safe now. Choi Kyoung Rok's Karlsruher was helped by PSH's antics and are still in relegation playoff fight.

Also, Jeong Woo Yeong made the first team last weekend in a weird scenario, suiting up for the parent of his loaning club against his owning club. Maybe he will do so again this weekend, but I'm not reading too much into it except hopefully raising his profile ahead of a potential loan or some deal this summer. If you want to see, will be on FS1 but don't expect anything but garbage minutes if that.

Lee Kang In-- Missed the win with suspension. Likely to return to bench but I imagine even less likely for him to play in risky situations so even less chances to sub in.

Ki Sung Yueng-- Still missing without any news at this point.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Came on a HT and was a good source of offense. Hopefully the last major action isn't the one to be remembered as he broke away, but couldn't beat the GK one on one.

Ji Dong Won-- Was a surprise scratch so I have no idea whats going on here. Hopefully he makes the bench and gets to sub in.

Paik Seung Ho-- Two changes, with Paik starting and playing on the right. Most of his play was variable... good skill in possession but too risky in passing and missed a great chance to score with an out of position GK.  That said, he was crucial in the victory, setting up the equalizer with a good cross in from the right, and then scoring the winner when he pounced on a loose ball off a corner, and blasted inside the post.

Lee Jae Sung-- Another surprise missing player from the squad. Not sure if it was a flareup of the groin, some other knock, or something else. Similarly, hard to forecast his role for this weekend, but if the issues are not at play, he should start. But with transfer mill warming up and little to play for, perhaps safety would be advised if there's any niggling issues.

Seo Young Jae-- With the defense imploding, Seo came on in the second half. I didn't watch the start. The goal that I saw let in, Seo was left alone again to cover two as they were pushing forward. Looked solid on the ball but hard to judge in these scenarios. I expect bench role again but maybe with defense struggling, perhaps a chance to start.

Son Heung Min-- Watched some of the first half but decided to go camping so I'll watch on my return. Sounds like he had a tough goal overturned by VAR but also had an assist to seal the three points, but the match was pretty haphazard in what I did see. Should start again.
