Weekend Recap Oct 2

International break nearing the end. Already had this written but I guess I didn't press publish...

Ji Dong Won-- Still out with injury but returned to training on Monday and even played in a friendly midweek.

Hwang Hee Chan-- Was on the bench but with Leipzig dominating, didn't need to go in and risk injury.

Choi Kyoung Rok-- Made his first appearance since injuring his ankle. Apparently his side weren't so good but didn't get to see how CKR did.

Kwon Chang Hoon-- Both Koreans again came on together at 55' but it was not good as Freiburg looked totally mismatched vs Dortmund. Kwon was the slightly better of the two but that is not saying much.

Jeong Woo Yeong-- I think it was Jeong who had a horrible backpass leading to a goal, and he had a lot of errant passes in general on a tough day. Not a good showing.

Lee Kang In-- Kind of a repeat of above also coming on as a sub at a similar time, and similarly ineffective. Playing on the right did him no favors, as he left the right side of the defense wide open and that contributed to the second goal even if there was a lack of coordination by the defenders. The usual mix of good passes interspersed with some poor decision-making, such as getting the ball stripped near the center circle, made for a frustrating watch on top of the awful way in which Valencia played.

Yun Il Lok-- An unused sub again and looks like he will have to wait for injuries to get a chance.

Lee Jae Sung-- Didn't watch but continued to get compliments as his side sit at the top of the table. It seemed pretty clear that first tier sides were not coming in for LJS so moving laterally to Hamburg didn't make much sense. Maybe if he can ensure Kiel is far from relegation, perhaps he can find a desperate first tier side in the winter.

Hwang Ui Jo-- Came on as a sub but with Bordeaux finally scoring some goals, might be a bit more difficult to get into XI especially with another attacker (Ben Arfa) added.

Son Heung Min-- A surprise start and really, what would we do without him? Clearly not 100% but still with 2 goals and an assist leading to a surprising dominating victory. Some intelligent runs made the most of his efforts and things appear to be coming together ahead of Bale's imminent return.

Paik Seung Ho-- Came on as a timewasting sub as Paik's minutes are very frustrating.
